Rigged bass boat ready for a guided trip on Lake Guntersville

Packing for a guided bass fishing trip is easy, because most of it is already handled. Shane provides the boat, rods, reels, and tackle, so you can leave the heavy gear at home. Here is the short list of what to bring, and what you do not need to.

Bring your Alabama fishing license. It is required and is not included in the trip price; you can buy one online from Outdoor Alabama before your trip.

Dress for the day on the water: weather-appropriate clothing and a rain jacket if there is any chance of weather, plus sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat. Mornings and open water can feel cooler than the parking lot, so layers are smart.

Pack food and drinks for the length of your trip. Please note there is no alcohol allowed on the boat, per U.S. Coast Guard rules. A small soft cooler is perfect. Bring your phone or a camera too, you will want photos of the day.

You can leave the tackle boxes at home. Shane keeps the boat rigged with quality rods, reels, and the baits that are working, so there is no need to bring your own unless you simply want to. If you do have a favorite rod or lure you would like to use, just mention it ahead of time.

If you are ever unsure about what to pack for your date and the conditions, ask Shane when you book. Ready to go? Reserve your date with a 100 dollar deposit, or call or text Shane at (256) 744-5185 with any questions.
